A unique collaboration between local Aboriginal man, Kieran Chilcott, from the Yugarabul and Bidjara people and non-Indigenous Contemporary Artist Hayley Ledden.

Both artists were raised in South-East Queensland and currently live on the Gold Coast.

Kieran’s style is inspired by his Aboriginal heritage, with a preference of dot art, whilst Hayley’s style is derived from the beauty of the natural world.

Hayley’s contribution is using large brush strokes and the scraping of acrylic paint to create colourful contemporary backgrounds for Kieran to overlay with Aboriginal art to create meaning.

The collaboration has been formed by the artists in the genuine spirit of reconciliation.

Both have been painting for as long as they can remember and are enthused by the joy that their exclusive artwork brings to others.
